Abernethy Home Midwifery provides comprehensive prenatal, birth, and postpartum care for women who are planning a homebirth. Bridget Carnahan, licensed midwife, practices in Washington and Oregon and is a preferred provider with Washington Medicaid, Molina, Community Health Plan, Regence, and Premera Blue Cross.
Complete care is provided to monitor health and support your preparations and decisions from early pregnancy through 6 weeks postpartum.
Visits with the midwife are about an hour long and provide plenty of time to ask questions and discuss concerns. The processes of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum bonding are seen as a journey for families where the midwife serves as a resource and a guide.
